Larry Moore's artistic journey is as vibrant and colorful as the paintings he creates. Born in Toppenish, Washington, Larry spent his formative years in the sun-drenched landscapes of Reno, Nevada. His childhood was filled with active pursuits—hiking, dirt bike riding, tennis, and football—a lifestyle that ingrained a love for the outdoors and a vivid appreciation for life's abundant colors.

Surprisingly, it wasn't until the age of 60 that Larry embraced his calling as an artist. He credits this late-blooming revelation to a newfound inspiration from artist and musician Paul Stanley. Despite not having any formal art education, Larry's path led him to paint with passion and perseverance, guided by the vivid experiences of his earlier life and a career steeped in the vibrant world of hospitality.

For much of his life, Larry thrived in owning restaurants and catering companies, and it wasn't until he shifted his focus to art that he began expressing his unique vision on canvas. His work is deeply inspired by a need to connect with his subjects, as well as a desire to see life in rich and vivid hues. Each piece starts with a colorful underpainting, layered meticulously allowing traces of the original underpainting to emerge, giving his works their distinct depth and texture.
